Hey everybody, Todd here, I just wanted to let you know that I released a new Cosmic Drifters album and it's available as a free download at my web site. Just go to www.supermassive.online/artists and look for The Cosmic Drifters 'Across The Void'; you can either listen to it there at the website or download it for free from there. It's 78 minutes of instrumental prog/spacerock inspired by artists like Hawkwind, Pink Floyd, Steve Hillage and Air. The music is performed by Gregg Murphy on drums, Jim Sobczak on bass guitar and myself on guitar, keyboards and bass and consists mainly of a series of jams recorded early summer this year. Several songs are spontaneous jams we made up on the spot and most of the rest are generated from a loose framework I shared with the guys before pressing record. All are first takes, and are, in fact, the only time the song was ever played. I want to thank Gregg and Jim for their help in creating this project, it's only when guys are willing to put aside their egos and trust the writer that you can produce a record like this and I really appreciate their work and dedication to help me realize my vision for this music. I'm very proud of this album, it's a long, strange journey through both outer space and the inner spaces of the psyche and I hope you'll take time to give it a listen. Also, the first Cosmic Drifters album, 'Proxima' is also available on my artists page as well as free downloads from The Dirty Trick, Big Blank Stare, The Jam Dandies, Supermassive and The Jack Russells, please check them all out. I hope all is well with everyone and want to encourage you to visit my artist page periodically to see what's new and I want to remind everybody that Laura and myself will be out selling 'Detroit Made' pottery at Eastern Market for the 'After Dark' event in September and the holiday markets later this year. Text Laura for details. Peace. - Todd
